A Star is Born
Living where we can sometimes see launches into the sky, I think about the renewal of stars and the colorful gases and old stars in our far distant sky beyond our atmosphere. Here is my dream interpretation of the birth of a Nova or new star. Using oil paints I began with a black background then added the gases and the explosion occurring at birth, then came the multitude of stars in the galaxy.

What is the inspiration behind your piece?
With all our rocket launches from the Kennedy Space Center, my imagination fired off and I looked at some space pictures and thought a painting would be interesting.
