Enchanted Cat
As I was experimenting with new equipment, my cat was watching intently as cats so often do. Her eyes were intriguing, and having them multiplied added to the mystique of the cat. The photograph is mounted using encaustic wax to give a more luminous quality to the piece.

What is the inspiration behind your piece?
Cats seem to hold secrets, and my resident feline guards the secrets of her former life. I'm fascinated with her eyes, so my attention turned to her eyes and then to her multi-faceted way of living in her world. A result of playing with new camera equipment, this image reveals the essence of her cat-ness.
