“Uncertainty’s Rainbow”
Jelly fish are symbolic of having faith and embracing uncertainty. They float in the ocean at the mercy of the unpredictable seas being pulled by its currents to places they never intended to go. We like to think we have more control in life than a jellyfish but our lives can drastically change for better or worse in a minute.
This piece is about the great miracle it is to be alive and how uncertain it all is. Until my wife and I began trying to have children of our own I didn’t fully understand how crazy it is that we actually made it here. With miscarriages (of which we had 2), fertility issues and other pregnancy complications it’s not as straightforward as I perceived. Then there are the rainbow of options from where you’re born to what color your eyes are or do you have all your legs?
