Flight of the Mako (Over Saturated Memory From My Dreamlike Childhood)
The Mako shark is known to leap out of the water and take “flight”. What seems like a completely fabricated scene is actually a vibrant flash of reality so wild it seems unreal. A scene from the lucid dream that was my childhood. A shark in the sky chasing birds, two more circling bloody Bahamian waters, and all the while a red dive flag indicates there is someone in the water. In a dreamlike landscape the untamed yellow of the sun washes over everything I can recollect.
