Jordan Shapot

Jordan Shapot, 37, is a local fine artist/painter in Ocala, Florida. He earned his BFA in Illustration in 2009 at Savannah College of Art and Design and has since pivoted to a successful career in painting. His work is in many notable private and public collections both nationally and internationally. He is also the owner of Shapot Art Gallery, a contemporary art space that hosts solo and group exhibitions, as well as cultural experiences and live music. 

I focus on making colorfully exciting, and emotion-evoking art. My work is created from a nurtured mindset of natural wonder and unbridled curiosity while mixing undertones of many traditional masters. Stemmed from this "unbridled curiosity", I have developed multiple, unique painting styles. Although they're often related by color and mark-making, these complex styles are also the separate limbs of my creative personality. Having a career composed of these "limbs" makes me feel oddly whole like Frankenstein's monster.
