Disney Princess

Disney Princess, October Art Exhibit
Disney Princess
"Disney Princess" explores the intersection of two dominant cultures in Central Florida: hunting culture and Disney culture. Growing up in this region, I have been constantly immersed in both worlds, often finding it difficult to embrace either fully. While each has its own merits, they also reflect broader societal issues—gun violence and consumerism—that are impossible to ignore.

In this piece, I juxtapose themes of hyper-masculinity with playful, whimsical elements, creating a visual tension that mirrors the contrasting energies I experience living here. The dark humor underlying the work serves as a commentary on these cultural dualities, presenting a nuanced perspective on what it means to navigate life in Central Florida.
