What is the inspiration behind your piece?: Cats seem to hold secrets, and my resident feline guards the secrets of her former life. I'm fascinated with her eyes, so my attention turned to her eyes and then to her multi-faceted way of living in her world. A result of playing with new camera equipment, this image reveals the essence of her cat-ness.

What is the inspiration behind your piece?: Trees are strong and excellent providers. When I was facing a personal hardship, I began imagining what it would be like if a tree could actually hug someone. I used steel to represent strength, clay to represent connection to the earth, the height appropriate for a viewer to kneel or sit and interact with, and configurable side-by-side or back-to back because we need different types of support at different times.

What is the inspiration behind your piece?: Golden Moon has a positive spiritual meaning...be it peace, optimism, balance and prosperity. I hoped to convey a sense of peacefulness and calm for the viewer.

What is the inspiration behind your piece?: Exploring my resent fascination with tattoos, I wanted to do something exotic. Exploring the lattice pattern I've been playing around with, this one has three views of the same image, COLOR, representing her day to day life, how everyone sees her, B&W, is how things really are, bills, relationships, etc... and through ROSE COLORED GLASSES, her dream world...

What is the inspiration behind your piece?: The Mako shark is known to leap out of the water and take “flight”. What seems like a completely fabricated scene is actually a vibrant flash of reality so wild it seems unreal. A scene from the lucid dream that was my childhood. A shark in the sky chasing birds, two more circling bloody Bahamian waters, and all the while a red dive flag indicates there is someone in the water. In a dreamlike landscape the untamed yellow of the sun washes over everything I can recollect.
